One of the most challenging things about managing your own business is keeping on top of the millions of things you need to remember every day. You may use spreadsheets, or have sticky notes all over your desk…or even (horrors!) keep it all in your head. With ContactMe, we’ve made your business life easier.

No More Guesswork. So, to keep your head from exploding, we designed ContactMe to organize your business information the intuitive way: by contact. Click on a contact and you’ll immediately see all your notes about your interactions with that person. Review those notes and you’ll know exactly where things stand—and what to do next.

Use Notes. Use ContactMe’s Notes feature to transfer your mental notes into our online tool (ahh, that feels good), which you can access from anywhere. To do so, just sit back, put your feet up on your desk, bed, or poolside lounge chair, and follow these simple steps:

  1. Click on the “Contacts” tab (in the orange bar near the top of the screen)
  2. Select a contact from your list by clicking on the name.
  3. Think about this contact. Is there anything you’ve been telling yourself to remember? Did the Norfolk store seem interested in placing a large order? Does Ann prefer local plants in her yard? Did Larry have an allergic reaction to the salmon canapés at the last event you catered for him?
    1. Go ahead and type that information into the “Add Note” section of the profile.
    2. The default note type is “General,” but if the note you are writing pertains to a phone call you had with this contact, go ahead and click the arrow next to the word “General” and choose “Phone” (or “Email” if it relates to email correspondence, or “Meeting,” “or Payment”). An example of a “Phone” note might be “We discussed walking the dogs on Tuesdays. She’s unsure, and promised to call me back within a week.”
    3. Then click “Add Now.”
    4. The note is now part of the contact’s “History” feed. Anytime you can’t recall a conversation you’ve had with a contact, simply review the History feed to get up to speed.

Act With Confidence. When you’re organized, it’s easy to prioritize, because it becomes crystal clear who needs to be contacted and what needs to be done. And that makes it easy to act. You’ll notice and appreciate how effortless this feels, and your customers will notice and appreciate how on top of things you are.

ContactMe has many more features for adding information (like tasks, now that your priorities for each client are clear) to each person in your contact list. This is a great feature. I’m a freelance photographer and my notes on my clients’ preferences are currently all over the place. Would be great to have them in one spot.
